“With Friends”: Incu x Hake House x Gelato Messina
Introducing With Friends - a creative collaboration with our close friends Gelato Messina and Hake House in celebration of International Women’s Day
Incu is proud to introduce “With Friends”, a multi-faceted project that encompasses food, fashion and art,and celebrates the power of friendship as a force for good. The project sees each partner contributing their creative talents to raise money and awareness to Gunawirra, a community-led organisation created to empower Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their families through art therapy programs.
To celebrate the collaboration, our friends at Gelato Messina have created a special, limited-edition flavour, curated by the Hake House artists. The “With Friends” gelato flavour - bush honey and macadamia gelato, with macadamia fudge and lemon myrtle cake - will be offered at all Gelato Messina outlets across Australia from Friday 8 March, with a portion of sales going to Gunawirra
“We’re delighted to work on another project with our friends at Incu, using our specially created gelato flavour to help spread the word about the project”. Sian Bishop, Gelato Messina
This collaboration also shines a spotlight on three local female artists from Hake House, whose distinctive works have been interpreted by the Incu Collection team to create a capsule collection of three garments: a viscose long sleeved shirt featuring a print by Ash Holmes; wool-blend knitted vest by Rachel Mackay and alpaca blend cardigan by Alicia Bilyara Bennett.
“In 2021 I was introduced to Gunawirra, I felt an instant connection to the incredible work they are doing. Since then it’s been an honour to communicate with the team, and read about projects they’ve been creating. In particular the art therapy programmes, which as an artist feels close to my heart - I truly believe in the positive impact creating art can have on our health and wellbeing”, Ash Holmes, Hake House founder and artist.
The collection, on sale from Thursday 7 March, will be available in Incu stores and Incu.com, with all proceeds from the first month of sales going to Gunawirra.
